Parlez vous?

Would you like to learn a bit of holiday French or improve your French conversation skills in a friendly, non-threatening environment?   We are trying to form a small social group based in Elford to do JUST THIS!  

We hope to attract people to the group from the surrounding area with a wide range of abilities and experiences so that we can learn together while having a bit of fun.   We will have an experienced language teacher to lead us (who has already offered her skills for a very nominal fee!) and to keep us in order.  

The plan is to:

Start maybe mid-January

Meet weekly for around two hours in the evening

Any age group is welcome. Likewise ability.

The idea is to give a wide range of abilities/ages the opportunity to improve their French conversation in a supportive social setting.   This group (should it get support) will not be exclusive to Walled Garden members, to Elford villagers or to people who already have good French conversation skills.   Rather, we hope it will be inclusive.  

To set the ball rolling, a short meeting to discuss the viability of the idea will be held in the Gardener's House at the Walled Garden on Sunday December 11 at 2.00pm.

The development of the group and the direction it takes will be determined by the people it attracts.   We will arrange a little French wine to celebrate! If you are interested but cannot make the meeting then let me know and I will keep you informed of the outcome.   It would also be good to know if you intend to come along.
